The relaxing and healing 45-50 minute sessions include the candling of both ears along with some massage. The price is $45.00 for each session as I usually use 2 candles per ear. Add extra candles to a session for $10.00 each.
Ear candling naturally cleans the ear canal and improves hearing. It also relieves sinus pain and pressure, relieves ear infections and ear aches, stops ringing of the ears (tinnitus), helps relieve the symptoms of TMJ, Meniere's Syndrome and vertigo.
Ear Candling sessions are by appointment in my office, 636.230.7600.
The History and Process of Ear Candling
Ear candling has been around for centuries and was practiced in the ancient civilizations of China, India and Egypt as well as the Native American cultures.
An ear candle is sometimes called an ear cone. It is a long hollow tube made from muslin, beeswax or paraffin and sometimes herbs or essential oils. The hand finished tip fits comfortably into the ear canal and is held in place. The large end at the top is lit and the smoke created spirals down through the ear canal. The warmth of the smoke gently dislodges and loosens foreign debris, softens old ear wax and helps to evaporate excess moisture. The is believed to relieve ear ache pain, provide relief from the pressure in the sinuses and allow the ear to naturally push out the ear wax.
The ear candling process is also believed to detoxify the lymphatic system and clear the sinuses, which in turn can also improve the clarity of hearing, sight, smell and taste.
Using ear candles is generally more comfortable and less expensive than conventional methods, which can be painful. Ear candling is non-invasive, peaceful and pleasant. Some of my clients have fallen asleep during the session!
